How Xelma works

When applied to the wound bed Xelma restores the damaged proteins providing an extracellular matrix protien for cell attachment.

Pre-clinical data

Pre-clinical studies demonstrated that amelogenin treatment significantly increases fibroblast expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), a growth factor that plays an important role in wound healing.
